Maritime Partners accepted as a founding member of the Blue Sky Coalition

As a leading provider of maritime assets and construction financing in the Gulf Coast, we recently joined the Blue Sky Maritime Coalition as a founding member. We recognize our responsibility to the environment and our community, and the need to work towards a commercially viable net zero emissions waterborne logistics sector. 

As the world faces the rapidly advancing challenge of climate change, the issues arisen by the maritime industry as both a critical part of the global economy and a major contributor to the rising carbon emissions have been difficult to address and fix.  

We are ready to face these challenges head-on—for our stakeholders, for our community, for our world. We recognize the difficulties the maritime industry poses in the fight against climate change, and we are ready to work together with other members of the Blue Sky Maritime Coalition to find actionable solutions. 

Decarbonization is possible and reaching net-zero emissions in the maritime industry can be done. It will take the collaboration and cooperation of all involved in the sector, and we are proud to be among the first to take the pledge.
